Edutech Research adopts internationally recognized standards for publication ethics. The journal’s ethical framework is based on the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), including the “Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors” and the “Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers”.
Publication Ethics Principles
Edutech Research is committed to the highest standards of academic integrity in scholarly publishing. In cases where ethical violations such as data manipulation, falsification, or fabrication are detected, the manuscript will be rejected, and, if deemed necessary, the author’s affiliated institution may be formally notified.
The journal reserves the right to request raw data and analysis outputs from authors when necessary.
Publisher’s Ethical Responsibilities
Edutech Research is a non-profit academic publication that adheres to the principles of impartiality, independence, and ethical responsibility.
The publication processes are based on the principle of independence between the publisher and the editorial board. Editors make all evaluation and publication decisions solely based on academic merit, without any external influence.
Editorial Board Responsibilities
Members of the Editorial Board are appointed for a term of three years based on their expertise in the field of educational sciences. The board consists of the editor-in-chief, associate editors (if necessary), and section editors.
When necessary, the editor may assign external experts as section editors for specific manuscripts. In case of vacancies, new members are appointed.
Authors’ Ethical Responsibilities
Authors are required to adhere to the following ethical principles:
Reporting Ethical Violations
If any ethical misconduct is identified in manuscripts under review, in early view, or already published, it should be reported to the journal editors.
Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts, request corrections, or retract published articles in cases of ethical violations.
Peer Review Process
Edutech Research adopts a double-blind peer review process.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers. Reviewers evaluate the manuscripts confidentially. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the manuscript may be accepted, revised, or rejected. The final decision is made by the editors.
Ethics Committee Approval
Ethics committee approval is required for studies involving data collection from participants using qualitative or quantitative methods, research involving human or animal subjects, clinical studies, and retrospective studies in accordance with data protection regulations.
Information regarding ethics committee approval must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
For case reports, informed consent must be obtained. Permissions must be secured and acknowledged for the use of scales, questionnaires, or images belonging to others. Compliance with copyright regulations must also be ensured.
Ethics committee approval is not required for review articles; however, all submissions must comply with research and publication ethics.
General Principle
Edutech Research is committed to ensuring that scientific knowledge is produced and disseminated in accordance with the principles of impartiality, independence, transparency, and ethical responsibility. The journal aims to provide reliable and high-quality academic content to the scholarly community.
